The Buick Avista Concept is a concept 2+2 coupe built by Buick, first unveiled at the 2016 North American International Auto Show on January 10, 2016. It debuted in Asphalt 8: Airborne.
The exterior, finished in superior blue, boasts a low-slung flowing pillarless coupe design with a sloping fastback roof. The front fascia is said to have been inspired by the 1954 Buick Wildcat II concept car. On the inside, the seats are upholstered in mist gray leather, complete with carbon fiber aluminium accents to give the driver's compartment a more sporty appearance. The dashboard features a wide touchscreen previewing a "future version" of Buick's IntelliLink infotainment system. The doors and interior components were 3D-printed.
The Avista concept car is related to the Cadillac ATS-V and sixth generation Chevrolet Camaro by sharing the same rear-wheel-drive Alpha platform. Its chassis utilizes Magnetic Ride Control to provide more precise handling. Power comes from a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine producing 400 hp, backed by an 8-speed automatic transmission. Its engine comes equipped with cylinder deactivation to improve fuel efficiency.
The concept car was met with critical acclaim, winning the 2016 EyesOn Design award (also won by the Buick Avenir in the previous year), as well as being named "Best Future Concept" by The Detroit News. The fastback concept was applauded for its perfectly proportioned rear-drive stance.
Although the car was merely intended as a design study, GM was reportedly thinking about putting the Avista or a similar car into production, according to a Buick representative. If produced, it is likely to retain the platform and engine from the concept. A new report stated that GM is reconsidering the Avista for production as a new halo vehicle for Buick, citing the great fanfare generated by its introduction at the Detroit Auto Show.
The Avista nameplate, taken from vista (sight in Italian), was previously filed for trademark registration by General Motors on September 22, 2015.
The Buick Avista Concept was added in the Lunar New Year 2017 Update as a Class D car.
The Buick Avista Concept has a starting rank of 1075 (the highest in Class D; shared with the Alfa Romeo MiTo GTA's MAX rank), a MAX rank of 1254 (the highest in Class D), and a MAX+PRO rank of 1370 (also the highest in Class D). It is an Elite Car.
Despite the Avista's maximum rank being the highest for Class D without Elite tuning, it can only compete with the SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STI as an Elite version with faster acceleration and improved nitro durations of (6/12/16) over the former's (8/13/18). The mismatch between the rating and performance is due to an over emphasis on acceleration. While by no means mediocre, it is still in practice slower than the Mazda RX-8 and Donkervoort D8 GTO as both cars have additional performance to back up their acceleration. The RX-8 has a higher top speed and better handling while the D8 GTO is unrivaled in terms of acceleration and nitro durations at (4/8/12). The nanoFlowcell QUANTINO is also faster than the Avista due to its superior total speed, handling, and nitro efficiency.
Additionally, due to the Avista's comparatively large size and weight to the RX-8 and D8 GTO, it suffers from poor handling and a wide drift radius, making technical tracks such as Sector 8, Venice and Dubai harder to navigate through. While it is capable of mid-drift boosting, it is still inferior to the RX-8 and QUANTINO.

The Avista is nothing more than a collectors car as it cannot compete with any of its aforementioned rivals and is similarly useless in Events. Furthermore, the Avista does not appear in any collection.
