The Devel Sixteen Prototype, also simply known as Devel Sixteen, is a mid-engined hypercar concept by Devel Sixteen, also known as Defining Extreme Vehicles Car Industry LLC.
Description
Revealed at the 2013 Dubai Motor Show, the Devel Sixteen Prototype, the company's first car, was described as having a "5000 HP" V16 engine, being capable of doing 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 1.8 seconds, and having a top speed of 348 mph (560 km/h).
The Devel Sixteen Prototype's 12.3L (12,291 cc) V16 engine, built by Steve Morris Engines, is quad-turbocharged and produces 5007 hp (3734 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 3814 ft·lb (5171 N·m) at 6,800 rpm on race gas and 36 psi of boost. On 92-octane pump fuel and 20 psi of boost, these figures are lowered to 3006 hp (2242 kW) and 2407 ft·lb (3263 N·m).
The Devel Sixteen Prototype is rear mid-engined and rear-wheel-drive, using a four-speed automatic. The car weighs 5071 lb (2300 kg), giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 1,963 hp per tonne or 1.12 lb/0.51 kg per hp.
In November 2017, it was revealed that Devel had also teamed up with the Italian firm Manifattura Automobile Torino to build the Devel Sixteen. The updated Devel Sixteen model was revealed at the 2017 Dubai Auto Show on November 14, 2017.
The current model is known as the 2018 Devel Sixteen and features a noticeably smoother exterior - if overlooking its front, the 2018 Devel looks much like a Pagani Huayra BC - but otherwise keeps most of the original Devel Sixteen Prototype's traits.
The 2018 Devel Sixteen has 3 versions: A 1500hp entry-level V8-engine powered version, a 3000 hp V16-engine version and a 5007hp top-tier version of the Devel Sixteen, designed for purely drag racing.

Summary
The Devel Sixteen Prototype was added in the Elite Cars Update as a high-end Class S car, with the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 1582
- Note: This number in integer form (rounded to nearest whole number) is identical to that of the nanoFlowcell QUANT FE and Cadillac 16 Concept.

- This is the second highest in Class S.
- MAX+PRO rank: 1810
- 0808 Elite Tuning rank: 1840

Its main rivals are the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, Aston Martin Vulcan, McLaren Mercedes MP4-25, TRION NEMESIS, Arrinera Hussarya GT, Apollo Intensa Emozione and McLaren MP4-31.
Performance
The Devel Sixteen Prototype, just like the Chevrolet 2016 Camaro SS and BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage in Class A, acts as a departure from the trend of top-end Class S cars with very well-balanced stats or rocket-like rates of acceleration. Its performance is built on those of the 2016 Camaro SS and 3.0 CSL Hommage, but with even more focus on top speed over everything else.
The Devel Sixteen Prototype currently remains the third fastest car in the game in terms of real total speed, with a maximum total speed of 324.6 mph (522.6 km/h). Since the Lunar New Year 2017 Update, the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition now holds the record of the fastest car in terms of total speed, with 335.2 mph (539.9km/h). Also, the 2018 Spring Update saw the introduction of the Kawasaki Ninja H2R, which exceeds it with 527km/h when using supercharged nitro.
The Devel Sixteen, however, did hold the record of fastest Class S vehicle in terms of real total top speed, one that was finally broken after over a year by the aforementioned Kawasaki Ninja H2R. Due to its weight of 5071 lb (2300 kg), the Devel Sixteen largely lacks in all other performance aspects, especially handling.
The Devel Sixteen, with its aforementioned weight, as well as its large size, is largely considered one of the worst-handling Class S cars, alongside the nanoFlowcell QUANT FE and Cadillac 16 Concept. When making turns, the Devel Sixteen has a very wide turning radius, even more so than that of the 2016 Camaro SS. Its drifting is especially very lacking, even more so at very high speeds, meaning that Devel Sixteen users have to make use of both the drift-brake trick and entering the corner into a drift earlier than normal. Prolonged drifts are very harmful to the Devel Sixteen's speed, meaning that it struggles to get through some corners with ease.
The Devel Sixteen Prototype has the same type of nitro as the Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition (20.0 km/h when stock), but has unique nitro efficiency, at 8/12/16. This is still considered only average, though, as the 2016 Camaro SS has longer-lasting nitro at 7/10/15. The reason for having a very low nitro stat is due to the Devel Sixteen's extreme emphasis on top speed.
The Devel Sixteen, upon its release, was the best S Class car in the game, but with the introduction of later, better cars, especially the Apollo Intensa Emozione and 2018 McLaren X2 its dominance is all but void now.
Usage
Upon its introduction, the Devel Sixteen Prototype, while having restrictive availability, became the best car in Class S on most tracks until the introduction of the Aston Martin Vulcan, Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, and Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition (the latter two Class A cars). Even with its poor handling, the Devel Sixteen still filled the Top 100 in the Class S leaderboards for most tracks, especially Tokyo. As of the Lunar New Year 2017 Update, the Devel Sixteen's dominance has all but faded into nothing.
Usage (Multiplayer)
A MAX+PRO Devel Sixteen Prototype could be used in Multiplayer, although this comes at a very high risk of being matched against the likes of the Aston Martin Vulcan, Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, TRION NEMESIS and McLaren Mercedes MP4-25, all of which are just as competitive but for lower prices and better overall stats. This is especially even worse if the track happens to be a notoriously difficult one like Sector 8, Venice, or Patagonia (especially Crystal Lake and Avalanche Alley), where the Devel Sixteen struggles to perform efficiently in due to its aforementioned handling.
Adding on to that, owing to its slower acceleration compared to its main rivals, the Devel Sixteen will need at least 2 laps in order to overtake its opponents.
The Devel Sixteen Prototype counts towards the "Off the Charts" collection which awards a total of 2 Double Credits and 5 Class S Upgrades.
Price
The Devel Sixteen Prototype currently remains as one of the most expensive tokens-purchasable vehicles to date, costing 14,500. Maxing it out costs 3,395,600 or 18,720. Pro Kits require 1,770,250, 25 of each Class S Parts card, 24 V16 Engines, 24 Mid-Tech cards, and 36 Advanced Tech cards. The Devel's buying price was updated for March 16-18 2018 to 5,500,000 or 14,500 with a 10% discount on the Credits price. That price was reduced on March 24, 2018, to 4,950,000 or 14,500.
Tune-ups cost 3,500, take 2h 30m to complete, and can be skipped for up to 250.
Worthiness
Despite being a king of Asphalt 8 for a period of time before the release of the TRION NEMESIS and then Aston Martin Vulcan, its competitiveness has now been reduced to nothing, further emphasized with the arrival of the Apollo Intensa Emozione and 2018 McLaren X2.
Adding on to that, with its steep buying prices, the Vulcan is a much more worthwhile car and is 250 cheaper. Hence, players are strongly advised against getting this car.
