The Ford 2006 GT is a mid-engined supercar made by Ford that appears in the Asphalt series. It began as a concept car in 2002, and was produced between 2005 and 2006. It was inspired by the 1960s Ford GT40 race car, which is visually very similar. A roadster version of the GT, called the GTX1 was produced from 2006 until 2008. The second generation Ford GT is supposed to enter production in 2016 as a 2017 model year.
In real life, it's capable of accelerating from 0-96 kmph (0-60 mph) in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) and it is competitor to the American muscle cars such as the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and the Dodge Viper SRT10.

The Ford 2006 GT was introduced in the June 2014 update along with many other cars. In the trailer, it is seen knocking down a McLaren P1. It was later added as a prize to the top 50 players in a time-limited cup. The Ford 2006 GT is currently available in the Garage for purchase.
The Ford 2006 GT is the weakest Class A car, although its starting rank is higher than the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Race Car (1300 vs 1288). The GT has a maximum rank of 1442, making it the second most powerful Ford vehicle in the game, beaten by the Ford Shelby GT500 (which is in Class B, but has a starting rank of 1351 and a maximum rank of 1504). Acceleration without nitro is acceptable, as is the top speed (even at stock, it already hits above 200 mph). Handling is above-average. However, the nitro is very weak and inefficient, making the GT an unpractical choice for a starter's Class A car (even if it has a higher starting rank than the CTS-V Coupe). It is also one of the worst cars to use in multiplayer.
The Ford 2006 GT costs only 50,000 to purchase (same as the Nissan 370Z from Class D), but its purchase price-maximum upgrade price gap is extremely steep. To max out the GT costs 1,275,400(!)
