The Holden Coupe 60 is an Australian sports concept by Holden that appears in the Asphalt series and is known by fans as a 2008 Monaro.
Description[]
The Holden Coupe 60 Concept is a sports coupe developed by Holden in Australia. The Coupe 60 is a pillarless concept car that explores the limits of Holden's current Zeta rear-wheel drive architecture, combining V8 Supercar-inspired styling with innovative technology to form a road-going sportscar. The Coupe 60 is based on a short-wheelbase version of the Holden VE Commodore.
The concept car was first revealed at the 2008 Melbourne International Motor Show, along with the HSV W427. The Coupe 60 celebrates the six decades since Holden built the 48-215 at its Fishermans Bend plant in Port Melbourne, Victoria, and provides a glimpse of Holden's future directions in design, engineering and emerging engine technologies.
At the time of launch, a great deal of speculation ensued that the Coupe 60 may point to another incarnation of the iconic Monaro. The designer stated that the car is production-feasible, including the B-pillarless design.
Nevertheless, the Coupe 60 remained a concept car largely because of unjustified development and production costs relative to small sales volume unless accompanied by any export program. Such program was not feasible especially as General Motors, by that time, was developing the larger volume fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro based on the same Zeta platform shared with the Coupe 60.
The luxury-sports theme of The Coupe 60 is emphasised by such features as a racing-derived chassis setup, including rear-diffuser, front-splitter and carbon-fibre spoiler, and 21-inch centre-lock alloy wheels with unique design Kumho high performance semi-slick tyres.
The Coupe 60 is powered by a 6.0 litre LS2 V8, with Active Fuel Management and ethanol (E85) capabilities. Coupled to the same six-speed manual transmission as in the standard Holden Commodore SS, the powertrain delivers upwards of 275 kW (369 bhp) at 5700 RPM and 540 nm of torque at 4400 rpm.

- This was changed to 159 in the Hot Winter Season Update
- Upgrade rank percentages: 10/60/10/20
- Nitro Efficiency: 10/15/20
As of the Hot Winter Season Update, the Holden Coupe 60 is now a high Class D car.
The Holden Coupe 60 rivals the Mercedes-AMG GT3, Ferrari GTC4Lusso, W Motors Lykan HyperSport, McLaren MP4/8, and SSC Tuatara.
Performance[]
The Holden Coupe 60 is a top speed-oriented car, with acceleration as a middle priority. The Holden Coupe 60's acceleration is noticeably faster than the Lamborghini Estoque with better handling than the Kepler Motion or any other car of a similar rank. The Holden Coupe 60 has excellent drifting, but extreme sensitivity may result in oversteering.
Similar to the Koenigsegg Agera R, the Holden Coupe 60's nitro consumption is the fastest in the game. Despite this, the Holden Coupe 60 is capable of beating other cars in its class. In fact, the Koenigsegg Agera R and Holden Coupe 60 are similar in total speed and overall performance, although the Holden Coupe 60 has faster acceleration.
Usage[]
The Holden Coupe 60 is tied with the Mercedes-AMG GT3. On most tracks, the AMG GT3 is a better car to use with faster acceleration and nitro duration, while the Holden Coupe 60 has an advantage on Tokyo with its emphasis on top speed over nitro.
Usage (Multiplayer)[]
The Holden Coupe 60 also benefited from being able to be Multiplayer tuned with its low starting rank of 1111. When upgraded properly, it could challenge the Range Rover Evoque Coupe HSE Dynamic, Shelby Cobra 427, BMW M2 and on certain tracks, the McLaren MP4/8.
It also has a raw top speed of 267.8 mph (431.3 km/h), similar to the total speed of the Ferrari 599XX, Shelby Cobra 427 S/C and Mercedes-Benz Biome, so a proper tuning setup would enable it to catch up and outrun acceleration oriented cars (except for the TRION NEMESIS and McLaren Mercedes MP4-25).
Care should be taken not to tune it beyond 1600+, as in doing so, it may place the player in races with high-end Class S cars, which the Holden cannot compete with. Regardless of how it is tuned, it can sometimes beat the TVR Sagaris (which can be considered as an alternate version of the Holden that trades drifting radius for nitro duration), but both the Holden and the Sagaris are ultimately dominated by the Chevrolet 2016 Camaro SS, BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage, Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition, and Audi R8 e-tron Special Edition, the latter being able to beat the Holden Coupe 60 regardless of rank. Thus, the Holden Coupe 60 has lost a noticeable amount of Multiplayer usability.
Price[]
The Holden Coupe 60 used to cost 3,000 before it become Blueprints in Motorcycles Update, then it removed in 2019 Spring Update.
The Holden Coupe 60 now have hidden price of 6,000 start from Seventh Anniversary Update.
It was the 14th car to be released as a Multiplayer League reward and was part of the Lunar Multiplayer Season which started on September 28, 2017. Players who finished in the Elite League would get all 10 BPs.
The Coupe 60 was on sale for a limited-time during the following periods:
- March 5 - 11: 2020: 6,000
- August 19 - 25, 2020: 6,000
- October 16 - 29. 2020: 8,500 or 1,680,000 (The option varied account to account)
As of the Hot Winter Season Update, upgrades require 55 of each Common Tires, Common Suspension, Common Drivetrain, and Common Exhaust, 160 Holden Coupe 60 Kit and 4,800,000.
