The Lucra L148 is a supercar made by California-based automaker Lucra Cars.
Viewed by many as a successor of the Lucra LC470 which debuted in 2013, the Lucra L148 is a road-legal supercar unveiled in 2014.
The L148 has a carbon fiber constructed body mounted on a tubular chromoly steel chassis. The car is powered by a front/mid-mounted 4.7 liter GM LS7 V8 engine sourced from Chevrolet, which produces over 700 hp (though this is just a figure claimed by Lucra, with the real hp suspected to be somewhere around 500) .
The L148 also uses a Mercedes-built 7-speed paddleshift transmission.
As a road-legal car, the Lucra L148 also comes equipped with air-conditioning, satellite radio and GPS navigation.
The Lucra L148 is one of the 11 new cars introduced in the Winter update.
The Lucra L148 is a high-end Class A car, with a starting rank of 1400, a maximum rank of 1603, and a final rank of 1679 (shared with the RUF RT 12 S).
The Lucra L148 features a decent acceleration along with a decent top speed (when maxed out, it is actually the same as those of the Jaguar C-X75, Savage Rivale GTR, and Tramontana XTR — 226.3 mph / 364.4 km/h). The Lucra L148 handles relatively well despite its apparent width. The L148 also features good nitro power.
Despite its all-rounded and decent stats, the Lucra L148 does not excel at anything in particular and has no apparent use. It is unsuitable for Heat Cups for obtaining the top 500 positions as it is overshadowed by many better A-class cars like the McLaren Mercedes MP4-25, BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage and Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport, to name a few.
Adding on to that, this car is also unsuitable for Multiplayer use owing to its high starting rank of 1400. At every possible configuration, the Lucra L148 is overshadowed by far better Multiplayer cars like the 2016 Camaro, BMW Hommage and MP4-25 (the latter two from rank 1600 onwards).
The Lucra L148 costs 400,000 to buy and 1,535,750 to max out. Its original price was 400,000, but it was reduced to 300,000 sometime during the Winter Update. As of August 14, 2017, the car is priced at 2,725 for purchase.
Prior to the Lunar New Year 2017 Update, the Lucra L148 had always been available for purchase after its pre-release cups were held during the December 2014 Winter Update. It was changed into a time-limited car, available only for purchase between February 26, 2017 and March 4, 2017. The L148 was converted into a Blueprints car during the Motorcycles Update and can only be assembled after collecting 35 of its Common-rarity Blueprints card. Assembling the L148 takes 2 hours and 30 minutes but can be skipped for up to 214.
The Lucra L148's BP cards, along with the DS 3 Racing's BP cards, were given out as a Daily Bonus reward if the player logged in for at least 28 days in September 2017. They were given out again in a Time-Attack Assembly Cup on March 5, 2018. They were given out again as a Daily Bonus reward if the player logged in for at least 25 days in August 2018.
