The McLaren 720S is a mid-engined supercar that acts as the successor to the McLaren 650S.
The 720S, codenamed "P14", is powered by the new M840T engine, a 4.0 L (3,994 cc) twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 710 hp (529 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 568 ft·lb (770 N·m) at 5,500 rpm. While a revamped version of the previous M838T 3.8 L (3,799 cc) engine, 41% of the engine's components are new and the stroke has been lengthened by 3.6 mm for increased capacity.
With a dry weight of 2829 lb (1283 kg) and curb weight of 3161 lb (1434 kg), the 720S is the lightest car in its class, subsequently resulting in a maximum power-to-weight ratio of 553 hp (412 kW) per tonne.
The 720S is capable of 0 - 60 mph (97 km/h) in 2.7 seconds, 0 - 100 mph (161 km/h) in 5.5 seconds, and a maximum speed of 212 mph (341 km/h). While officially claimed to have a 1/4-mile time of 10.3 seconds, the 720S is actually capable of 1/4-mile times as low as 9.7 seconds.
The McLaren 720S was added in the Fifth Anniversary Update as a high-end Class A car with the following rank statistics:
- Starting rank: 1369
- MAX rank: 1634 (+265)
- MAX+PRO rank: 1784 (+150)
- This is the current highest in Class A, excluding Elite Tuning.
- Tuning Kit bonus: +50
- Speed Multiplier: 95.71%
- Stock to MAX+PRO rank difference: 415
- Upgrade rank percentages: 20/30/15/35
- Nitro Efficiency: 4/8.5/13
The 720S's performance is based on those of the McLaren 675LT and 9FF GT9 VMAX, but with improved top speed, acceleration, handling, and nitro efficiency. It has a real total speed of 307.0 mph/494.4 km/h at MAX+PRO with Tuning Kit, higher than the SIN R1 and Rezvani Beast Alpha (306.2 mph/493.0 km/h), McLaren P1™ GTR (304.4 mph/490.1 km/h), Pagani Huayra BC (304.0 mph/489.5 km/h), and McLaren Mercedes MP4-25 (303.5 mph/488.7 km/h). The 720S is inferior to the Aston Martin Vulcan, Rezvani Beast Alpha, Apollo Intensa Emozione, and 2018 McLaren X2, but can compete with the Porsche Carrera GT, Arash AF10, TRION NEMESIS, and Mosler Land Shark.
In terms of competitiveness in Events, being only 6.2 mph/10.0 km/h faster than the 675LT, the 720S isn't necessarily the best choice, as the MP4-25 and Rezvani Beast Alpha still have faster overall acceleration, and the 720S only has marginally lower total speed than the W Motors Fenyr SuperSport with 307.2 mph/494.7 km/h. The 720S, on the other hand, is now the fastest non-racing McLaren in the game, beating the McLaren P1™ GTR, and does not come with restrictive availability unlike the Rezvani Beast Alpha, requiring 45 Rare Blueprints instead of being only available in its Special Event.

As a departure from the heavily top speed and nitro-biased upgrade rank distribution of 2/55/2/41 that McLaren cars generally use (except the 12C and MP4/8), the 720S has an upgrade rank distribution of 20/30/15/35, which greatly increases its multiplayer competitiveness, even more so against the SIN R1. The 720S is capable of competition against the BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage, Porsche Carrera GT, Chevrolet 2016 Camaro SS, and Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition.
- 0500 5050 = 467.3 km/h/290.2 mph @ A1520
- 0503 5050 = 475.8 km/h/295.5 mph @ A1561
- 0504 5052 = 481.7 km/h/299.1 mph @ A1598
- 0504 5055 = 485.3 km/h/301.4 mph @ A1626
- 1504 5555 = 490.5 km/h/304.6 mph @ A1668
- 0505 5555 = 494.4 km/h/307.0 mph @ A1691
Note that these tunes can be used before and after the Heatwave Season. In Heatwave Season, the 720S's competitiveness dropped significantly as it would very often be matched against the superior Rezvani Beast Alpha, Apollo Intensa Emozione, 2018 McLaren X2, and (in some rare cases) the McLaren MP4-31, all of which are superior.
Upgrades for the McLaren 720S cost 2,223,250 or 12,885 while Pro Kits require 1,456,100, 15 of each Class A Parts card, 14 Early & Initial Tech cards, 20 Mid-Tech cards, 12 Advanced Tech cards, and 52 V8 engine cards.
