Developed from the road-going Mercedes-AMG GT and the successor to the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 is Mercedes-Benz's entry for the 2015 motorsport season, 2016 Blancpain Endurance Series, and 2016 Super GT GT300 season.
The Mercedes-AMG GT3 is a track-oriented but road-legal sports car by Mercedes-Benz, unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. It is the successor to the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3. The car was made available to customers between late 2015 to early 2016.
From 2015 onwards, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 was also Mercedes-Benz's entry for the majority of racing competitions the company participates in.
The AMG GT3 is powered by a 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine, sourced from its predecessor, the SLS AMG GT3, which allows the car a 0-60 of 3.6 seconds.
The chassis of the car is made from lightweight but rigid aluminum spaceframe. Most of the other components of the car body (cars doors, diffuser etc.), however, are made from carbon fiber to reduce weight.
On top of that, the AMG GT3 also features 6-speed sequencial racing transmission, double wishbone suspension and a high-strength steel rollcage to protect the driver and passengers.

As expected for its rank in Class B, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 has a great launch and acceleration, rivaling the Holden Coupe 60. Compared to the Holden Coupe 60, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 has considerably better nitro efficiency compared to the latter's 10/15/20. This rating is not bad, but also not good.
The GT3, while certainly not the best handling car, still has decent drifting and handling which could be considered equal to, if not slightly inferior to that of the Holden Coupe 60.
The AMG GT3 also has one of the superior top speed to most B class cars despite its nitro reliance.
Overall, given the AMG GT3's all-rounded stats, it is generally considered one of the best B class cars and can obtain some of the fastest timing on most maps among the B class cars.
This is a summary of how the AMG GT3 performs against other top-tier B Class cars:
- On short tracks, it is beaten only by the McLaren MP4/8 and BMW M2 Special Edition, the latter owing to its higher top speed and the former the much faster acceleration.
- On medium tracks, virtually only the M2 SE can beat it owing to its extremely similar performance but higher top speed. It is also the only car faster than the B Class car with more or less similar stats.
- On long tracks, the AMG GT3 mainly faces off against the M2 SE, Holden Coupe 60, Ferrari GTC4Lusso and Estoque for their slightly higher top speed but other similar performance.
- On all tracks, the AMG GT3 is inferior to the Mazda RX-8 Special Edition.
On long tracks like Tokyo, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 suffers from its poorer top speed compared to the Holden Coupe 60 and Lamborghini Estoque, this means that while the Mercedes-AMG GT3 drifts to recover lost nitro on the long straights, the Holden Coupe 60 might gain a chance of already getting ahead of the GT3 due to its superior top speed. Despite this, the GT3 still equals or beats the Holden Coupe 60 in the vast majority of tracks.
With the introduction of the BMW M2 Special Edition and Mazda RX8 Special Edition, the AMG GT3 can no longer achieve a top 100 in leaderboards.
The AMG GT3 had an original price of 1,000,000 or 6,250 but has been increased to 3,400 and later to 4,650 Upgrades cost 2,287,500 or 13,190 while Pro Kits require 1,366,925, 13 of each Class B Part cards, 10 Early & Initial Tech cards, 16 Mid-Tech cards and 16 V8 Engine cards
The AMG GT3 was revived as a 4 day Champions Clash during July 28-August 1, 2017 as the car prize for the top 10 players.
