Nevada is a state in the United States, located in the southwest, bordering California, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, and Idaho. It appears as a race track in the Asphalt series.

Asphalt 9: Legends Asphalt 9: Legends[]

Nevada uses the same layout as its Asphalt 8 rendition but with increased graphical fidelity. In the China version, this track has been renamed as Desert Freeway (沙漠高速).

Variants[]

30"

  • Bridge to Bridge
  • Tunnel Sprint

60"

  • Hairpin Sprint
  • Winding Road

90"

  • Desert Life
  • Desert Run
  • Dam Buster
  • Desert Drift
  • Long Run
  • The Curve

120"

  • The Narrows
  • Sprint Finish

Recommendations[]

The long straight section from the asphalt to the bridge is all considered rough terrain and the player's car will lose speed if nitro is not used. With Asphalt 9's vehicle physics, wallriding tighter corners will be better for cars that have poor handling than to drift through it.

Overview[]

The Nevada tracks take their track layout from the London tracks, but all three track variants, Nevada, Sleeping Wings, and Water Barrier, now have reverse variants:

Nevada Nevada
Nevada Reverse Nevada Reverse
Sleeping Wings Sleeping Wings
Sleeping Wings Reverse Sleeping Wings Reverse
Water Barrier Water Barrier
Water Barrier Reverse Water Barrier Reverse

The following tracks are based on Asphalt 8 London tracks:

  • Nevada: London
  • Water Barrier: Westminster Bridge
  • Sleeping Wings: The London Eye

The dam, wind turbines and several military transport aircraft are featured across various parts of the track.

Java[]

Trivia[]

  • The military transport aircraft appear to be very loosely based on the Airbus A400M Atlas. This is odd, considering the US Air Force does not use this aircraft type in their fleet.
  • A flying saucer can also be seen flying above the track; it is best seen in the pre-race intro for the Sleeping Wings track variant.

Asphalt 8: Airborne Asphalt 8: Airborne[]

Overview[]

This location is in the Nevada-Arizona desert, with an appearance of the world-famous Hoover Dam landmark, parodied as the Clover Dam, which spans across the border of these two states. A short distance away from the dam lies the in-game rendition of the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge. It is the first track in the game, even though the tutorial takes place in Iceland.

Nevada has two race track variants:

Nevada Nevada The regular track.
Nevada Reverse Nevada Reverse The reverse route, with the same starting point as in the regular track.

Both tracks are the same course, the differences being the direction of travel and the lack of one shortcut in the reverse track – the starting point is the same.

The following vehicles have their banners depicted in Nevada:

Recommendations[]

  • Use cars with good enough handling to tackle the sharp curves at the beginning.
  • Nitro efficiency is important in the middle part of the track, as that part of the track is almost devoid of nitro power-ups.

Trivia[]

Asphalt 8[]

  • Nevada Reverse sometimes has a glitch where an AI racer finishes the race in 20 seconds.
  • Nevada's background sound effects were later reused for Dubai and Area 51.
  • Two rusty, blue wrecked variants of 1948 GMC 100s can be found. There is another that can be seen in Patagonia, however that one is in better condition and green-colored.
  • The time on the Clover Dam's penstock tower clocks shows that it is 7:52am. This is determined by the direction of the sunlight in-game, which places it due south-east of the entire facility if one refers to the curved section of the dam's layout on a real-life map. The weather is set on a clear morning with sparse cloud cover, quite possibly a very hot and dry one due to the harsh sunlight and the desert's arid climate.
  • There are no variations in time of day on this track, regardless of whether the variant is regular or reverse.
    • Nevada and London are so far the only known tracks where the exact time of day can be directly observed via visible timepieces, i.e. clocks situated on the Clover Dam's penstock towers and London's iconic Big Ben clock tower.
  • The in-game version of the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge appears to be based on a stage of its construction prior to 2010. The real-life version was completed and opened to vehicle traffic in October 2010. The in-game version is as of yet incomplete and traffic is not seen using the bridge. Strangely, however, traffic can be seen using the access roads that lead towards the bridge on either side.
  • There is an orange sign between the Start Line and the twisty road opposite the Last Chance Gas Station. It displays that there is a twisty road ahead, and the smaller sign below it says "That Looks Well." Oddly, despite the twisty road's hairpin turns, the speed limit for the twisty road is 90 MPH.
  • From August 3 to August 30, 2018, an advertising campaign for Asphalt 9: Legends was featured in the form of billboards in various locations across both versions of the track.
    • These billboards re-appeared on December 13, 2018, however the extra pre-race cinematics featuring said billboards are no longer present.
  • Nevada Reverse shows a yellow plane that sometimes flies above the player during the race. The plane doesn't follow a realistic flight plan and seems to teleport.
  • Players who play on low graphics will experience a black background for Nevada.

Asphalt 9[]

  • In multiplayer, a glitch can occur where the player and all of the opponent's car ratings will be shown as an error.
