The Renault Alpine Celebration is a concept sports car that was revealed in Circuit de La Sarthe just ahead of the Le Mans 24 Hour race in 2015.

Description Edit

The Renault Alpine is set to become a sports car brand within the Renault brand and as a 60th celebration to Alpine it has released a sports car concept called the Celebration. The Celebration concept looks a lot more believable and possible than the A110-50 concept revealed back in 2012.

Renault has been threatening to debut the return of the Alpine for a few years now and maintains that it’s on track for 2016. This sports car concept forms the base of a two-seater coupe sports car with that harks back to the Alpine rally cars with its spotlights in the centre of the front bumper. Carbon detailing is used to highlight the high-tech features of the car’s body, from its spoiler to the side sills, diffuser, rear air intakes and mirrors.

The rear integrates air intakes built into the rear quarter panels to contribute to engine cooling. The engine cover – which can be spied through the louvered motifs of the rear window – reveals the mid-rear positioning of the power plant.

No details are available on the powerplant, but it is expected the Renault Alpine Celebration will dig into the Renault parts box for either the Clio 1.6 turbo or the Megane 2.0 turbo. With efficiency being so much of a factor these days it’s likely the Clio engine will be favoured. That’s not a bad thing though as the Alpine Celebration is said to weigh just over 1 000kg. Hopefully Alpine does away with the dual-clutch ‘box and goes for a straight six-speed manual which will keep the enthusiasts happy.

No release or debut date has been set but most pundits expected a real car to hit the show stands at Geneva Auto Show in 2016.

Summary Edit

A8A Renault Alpine Celebration stock

Debuting in the Lunar New Year 2017 Update, the Renault Alpine Celebration is the second Class C car unlockable via Research & Development, after the ED Design Torq.

The Alpine Celebration has a starting rank of 1238, a MAX rank of 1451, and a MAX+PRO rank of 1582. The Tuning Kit boost is +45.

Performance Edit

The Alpine Celebration has performance based on the Lotus Exige S Coupe, an original Class C car.

The Alpine Celebration has a competitive nitro efficiency of 6/11/16 (11 being an improvement over 12 of the Exige), very fast acceleration, very high top speed (though not the highest), very good handling, and very good drifting (an improvement over the Exige).

Usage Edit

The Alpine Celebration is one of the top four Class C cars for TLEs. It finishes most laps around 1 second slower than the Sbarro Sparta (the current king of Class C), but the Alpine Celebration can get a roughly equal or better time on Sector 8. One of the other top cars is the Honda Civic Type R which it's main downside would be it's low raw top speed (top speed without nitro) but otherwise is similar to the Alpine Celebration. The other top car is the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG Racing Series, which is roughly equal to the Alpine Celebration, acting as a slightly slower version of the Sbarro Sparta. Compared to both the CLA 45 and the Sparta, the Alpine Celebration has better drifting, handling and acceleration (roughly equal acceleration, in the case of the Sparta), but it possesses a slightly lower top speed and a slightly worse nitro efficiency (compared to 5/10/15). Overall, the Alpine Celebration's only real advantage over the Sparta is that it isn't Elite, allowing it to be used infinite times without breaking down. The CLA 45, despite being inferior to the Sparta on all tracks and to the Alpine on Sector 8, is still the only high-end Class C car available for A8Credits ; in contrast, the other three cars are only available for Blueprints.

Though not the best car for Multiplayer, the Alpine Celebration performs somewhat similarly to cars like the ONUK Sazan LM, Rinspeed zaZen, and Mercedes-Benz Biome.

Here are some multiplayer tunes:

  • 0500 1050 = 238.5 mph/384.0 km/h @ C1339
  • 0502 5052 = 248.8 mph/400.6 km/h @ C1394
  • 0503 5053 = 251.5 mph/404.9 km/h @ C1416
  • 0504 5155 = 255.9 mph/412.1 km/h @ C1457
  • 2515 5555 = 260.9 mph/420.1 km/h @ C1521 - This is the highest optimal tuning for the Alpine besides MAX+PRO, after which it loses its competitiveness.

Price Edit

If offered for a limited time, the Alpine Celebration costs A8Tokens 4,500. Maxing out the car requires A8Credits 1,401,300 or A8Tokens 10,180, while completing the Pro Kit upgrades requires A8Credits 708,050, 13 of each Class C Parts card, 12 V6 Engines (contradicting the car's use of an inline-4 engine), 10 Initial Tech cards, 10 Early Tech cards, and 8 Mid-Tech cards.

As of the Car Blueprints Update, the Renault Alpine Celebration requires 6 Renault Alpine Celebration BP cards to be assembled. Assembly time is 8 hours.

Availability Edit

The Alpine Celebration was initially available with its R&D debut and was made attainable again starting with the Car Blueprints Update.

Renamed as the 'Alpine Celebration Concept', with an Alpine badge, the Alpine Celebration appears in Asphalt Street Storm Racing as a Class D car.

Availability & Price Edit

For a short period, the Alpine was purchasable only on Windows before being made hidden again.

The Alpine was reintroduced as a top 10 car prize for a 2 day Champions Clash between July 19-20, 2017, this time only on iOS and Android.

The Alpine was eventually made permanently available in the Shop on August 1, 2017 for 270 Diamonds.
