The Renault DeZir is an electric concept sports car.
The DeZir, first officially presented at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, is a two-door coupe with a unique butterfly door configuration: on the driver's side, the door opens like a conventional butterfly door (hinged at the front); while at the rear, the door opens like a suicide butterfly door (hinged at the rear).
The DeZir has a 148 hp (110 kW) electric motor mounted in the middle towards the rear. It produces 167 ft·lb (226 N·m) of torque. Powering the rear wheels is a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The DeZir's performance figures included 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 112 mph (180 km/h). This would give the DeZir direct rivalry with the Audi e-tron concept.
The DeZir is the first in a series of concept cars that are paving the way for Renault's future both aesthetically and technologically. The series is modeled after the stages of life that a Renault customer might encounter. In Renault’s own words their customers will fall in love, discover the world, start a family, work, have fun and become wise. The DeZir concept symbolized the love stage, the Captur concept symbolized the discovery stage, the R-Space represented the family stage and the Frendzy represents the work stage.
The DeZir has a starting rank of 514 and a MAX rank of 1153. With a MAX+PRO rank of 1262 (PRO rank: +109), the DeZir is placed inbetween the Volkswagen Beetle Turbo and DS 3 Racing. The DeZir currently holds the record for the highest possible Tuning Kit boost in the game, with +128.
As a departure from Class D cars in general, the Renault DeZir has a nitro-focused type of performance.
The DeZir has the second highest minimum nitro stat of any car in the game, starting at 42.6 mph/68.6 km/h. Due to its weight and high nitro stat, the DeZir has a reasonably quick rate of acceleration. It also has a maximum total speed of 224.5 mph/361.5 km/h, as well as uniquely high nitro efficiency, at 6/9/12. The DeZir was the first car with its nitro efficiency rated at 6/9/12.
As expected, the DeZir has a low top speed despite having more of its speed increase allotted to top speed (25.7 mph/41.4 km/h to be exact). This can become a serious problem when the DeZir runs out of nitro, especially when coupled with its average drifting radius and wide steering capacity, although the DeZir is more than efficient enough in nitro consumption to mitigate this.
The Renault DeZir is a widely-used car in Multiplayer races, particularly in ranks below 1000. Upgrading the nitro allows the DeZir to have a very high speed at low ranks, causing it to dominate virtually all races at ranks below 900, especially when coupled with its high nitro efficiency and high rate of acceleration.
At low ranks, the DeZir has a very high chance of dominating, especially due to the large amount of newbies at such low ranks. At ranks above 900, though, the DeZir's competitiveness decreases due to the presence of cars like the Porsche 959 and Range Rover Evoque Coupe HSE Dynamic. It is obviously not recommended to use the DeZir at MAX+PRO for Multiplayer because the 1200-1299 rank bracket is a territory for the BMW M2, Shelby Cobra 427, Holden Coupe 60, and Mercedes-Benz SLK 55 AMG Special Edition.
The following is a list of useful upgrade setups for Multiplayer:
- 0103 0001 = 176.7 mph/284.6 km/h @ D659
- 0004 0000 = 178.3 mph/287.1 km/h @ D670
- 0004 0202 = 182.9 mph/294.5 km/h @ D714
- 0005 0000 = 184.1 mph/296.5 km/h @ D737
- 2005 0102 = 187.4 mph/301.8 km/h @ D777
- 0105 0102 = 191.3 mph/308.0 km/h @ D804
- 0205 0212 = 199.0 mph/320.4 km/h @ D883
- 1115 2222 = 198.1 mph/319.0 km/h @ D888
- 0105 2222 = ???.? mph/303.4 km/h @ D881
In Events, though, the DeZir currently is very rarely seen, especially when the most common use of the DeZir is for low-rank Multiplayer. In certain Events, though, the DeZir is seen filling the top of the leaderboards.
The DeZir counts towards the "Winter is Gone" collection.
The Renault DeZir is the cheapest car in the game that can be bought with only tokens, costing 180. The DeZir costs 703,000 or 6,985 to max out. Pro Kits require 44,833 and 3 of each Class D Parts card.
