W Motors is a Lebanese hypercar manufacturer featured in the Asphalt series.

Overview Edit

History Edit

Established in Beirut, Lebanon in 2012, W Motors is the first Arabian manufacturer of supercars.

Headquartered in Dubai, UAE since early 2013, the company launched its first prototype model the Lykan HyperSport in 2012 at the International Qatar Motor Show. The Lykan model is officially limited to seven units and priced at US$3.4 million, making it the third most expensive car in the world. The Lykan HyperSport was showcased in Dubai during the Dubai International Boat Show, as well as in Abu Dhabi and Kuwait at the Historical, Vintage and Classic Cars Museum and making its European debut at the Garage Vandenberghe in Belgium and Spain Marbella.

The company operates in several facilities in Europe and has collaborated with international partners and suppliers from the automotive industry, including Magna Steyr, StudioTorino, Ruf Automobile, Novasis Ingegneria, ID4Motion, and the University of Tokyo in the technical field, and Cyrus Watches and Quintessentially Lifestyle Concierge Services in the accessories field. W Motors plans to relocate its factories and manufacturing facilities from Lebanon to the UAE at some point in late 2017.

Their second model, the Fenyr SuperSport, was unveiled in 2015, and the final production car will go in sale in late 2017. The car is limited to 25 units per year, and is expected to cost around US$1.8 million. They also have plans to release two SUV models in the near future.

Trivia Edit

  • W Motors's logo in the games lacks the manufacturer name.
    • The text in the logo is not always included in real life, depending on the usage.
    • In the "What's New!" screen for the Car Blueprints Update in Asphalt 8: Airborne, though, the W Motors Fenyr Supersport BP card is depicted with the corrected logo, albeit with the wrong rarity (Rare instead of Legendary).
